About Us

The New York State Tobacco-Free School Partnership is a network of local agencies helping secondary schools and school districts to develop, communicate and enforce effective Tobacco-Free policies. Properly enforced, these policies reduce smoking and other tobacco use by young people. Smoking is the leading preventable cause of death, killing 25,500 New Yorkers and 430,000 Americans every year. This initiative is funded by the New York State Tobacco Control Program.
